The PR Manager will create and drive programs which generate positive editorial coverage for the company’s business activities, initiatives and policies through multiple communication vehicles including: media relations, conferences and events. The PR Manager’s responsibilities will include development of press releases, web site content, interviews, story pitch and placement, media relations, community management, press tours, and game conventions.

Responsibilities:

• Work with members of media to secure previews, reviews, interviews, and articles about company and company products
• Craft and execute PR programs that publicize the studio, franchise and titles
• Create breakthrough campaigns
• Own outreach and coverage with top consumer media outlets nationwide
• Maintain key media relationships across North America
• Source top tier speaking opportunities and manage the team’s executive speaking opportunities
• Plan and participate in trade shows, sales & marketing presentations, and press tours
• Write and edit press releases, interviews, fact sheets, marketing copy, manual, strategy guides, and other materials
• Create necessary press materials to support marketing, business development and sales

• Bachelor's Degree in related field
• 5-7 years experience working in public relations and/or marketing for a video game developer or publisher is essential, MMO PR experience is preferred.
• Very strong writing skills and the ability to articulate concepts, messages and strategies
• Effective organization and planning skills, ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, decision making and problem solving skills
• Effective leadership skills
• Must be proactive and highly motivated
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office products
