UI/Scripting Programmer

We are looking for a UI/Scripting Programmer, who will be primarily responsible for helping design, implement, and maintain the game UI for a massively multiplayer online game.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative design, implementation, maintenance, integration and support of game UI.
  • Work with art, design, and client programmers to create and establish consistent scripts.
  • Document technology that you design and develop
  • Proactively fix bugs in your areas of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Comfortable working within a team environment that encourages software engineering, technical design documentation, coding standards and code reviews
  • 2+ years experience with Lua required
  • Experience with other scripting languages such as ActionScript and Python are a plus
  • Professional C++/C# experience is a plus
  • Game UI development experience including UI graphics/rendering, professional experience is a plus
  • Experience developing mods for existing MMOs is a huge plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teammates is essential
  • Self-motivated, able to work with minimal direct supervision
  • Previous game industry/MMO experience is a plus
  • Avid MMO gamer
