Responsibilities

  • Responsible for technical checks of armors and costumes during production:
    • Review topology and forms to make sure they conform to our parts system and will work well with body deformation
    • Review UV layout to make sure all UV’s are properly mapped to our parts system
    • Review various helmet types and shapes to make sure they all conform to the associated racial type
    • Review boltons on both male and female archetypes to make sure they are scaled and fitted properly
  • Responsible for tint setup and assignments on armors, costumes and weapons:
    • Assign correct material types and tints for each tint channel
    • Coordinate with art leads and systems to setup and assign appropriate materials and colors that establish the official, approved look of assets, that will be seen in-game and will be used for icons, screenshots and Crown Store
    • Make sure these materials and tints are setup properly for the screenshot team so no additional setup is required on their end
    • Create new tints and dyes when needed
  •  Responsible for icon creation for armors, costumes, weapons, mounts, and pets:
    • Create icons for completed armors
    • Create icons for completed costumes
    • Create icons for completed weapons
    • Create icons for completed mounts
    • Create icons for completed pets
    • Track the creation and completion of icons to make sure all icon requests are addressed
    • Will be the point person for all character team icon related issues, including requests, bugs, etc…
  • Responsible for final submission and check-ins of completed approved art:
    • Check in final files and source files into Perforce
    • Create final renders of textured assets and then save in appropriate folders for reference
    • Make sure all in-game assets are properly checked in and available to everyone
  • Team coordination:
    • Work with systems to make sure all tinted items meet their needs and requests
    • Work with the screen shot team to ensure all assets are properly setup with approved tints ready for screenshots
    • Work with internal outsource team to make sure outsourced assets are tinted, rendered, and have icons created
    • Maintain documentation on all available tints and dyes

 

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of 3d Studio Max; can navigate files and check issues within the file

The Video Editor/Videographer will work closely with the Marketing Director, development team and creative agencies to produce creative high definition video for broadcast, mobile and online media.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, create, process and edit video projects for marketing of MMORG video game using computer software
  • Edit video game trailers, with the goal of conveying the emotional content and attitude of a game
  • Create TV commercials, game trailers and other marketing and production materials
  • Use digital equipment, in-game capture rigs and lighting kit to record scenes according to a script and under a marketing/producer team member’s oversight, providing input as needed to ensure a quality product
  • Set up and operate video cameras, light kit, sound recording, and other equipment as needed to produce instructional videos
  • Use audio recording equipment to capture and edit spoken audio tracks for use with other multi-media and animation productions
  • Select, organize, and assemble scenes into a finished rough cut according to a script; Provide input to producer/director to boost visual, dramatic, and/or instructional value
  • Optimize video for websites, mobile devises, YouTube or various other destinations
  • Create and implement motion graphics using computer software
  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with all marketing team members

Requirements

  • All candidates are required to submit a demo reel via online portfolio demonstrating ability to make materials of various styles
  • Possess both technical and artistic expertise to push the creative envelope to new heights while adhering to brand guidelines
  • Minimum of three years experience in digital video editing
  • Minimum of three years of experience editing short-form work, especially trailers and commercials
  • Demonstrated experience in capturing footage from video game consoles, PCs, etc
  • Knowledge of video software (i.e. Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Motion, After Effects)
  • Ability to research and recommend video-related equipment, software, and hardware
  • Experience grading and color correcting video for final release
  • Must be able to work quickly and efficiently, hit short deadlines, have strong organizational skills and juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to deal with high levels of stress

  • Understanding of digital file creation and delivery for web based video. Transcoding and FTP skills a must. Possess knowledge of capturing digital video from a video game format

Mobile FX Artist 

           

The FX Artist will be responsible for designing and creating high-quality effects for our mobile team.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop innovative, complex and visually stunning animated, particle and shader effects within the defined visual style.
  • Creating all assets such as textures, models, and shaders relevant to visual effects art.
  • Concept, propose, and present creative ideas.
  • Work closely with our artists, animators, designers, and programmers to implement effects.
  • Provide creative input specific to assigned tasks

 

Requirements:

           

  • Strong understanding of particle effects technology, techniques, and implementation.
  • Traditional 2D Drawing and Animation skills preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of effects generation within Unity.

Introduction

Coordinate and produce multimedia projects for print, web and video. Manage artists across all those same disciplines, offering direction and ensuring adherence to established style guides is maintained. Coordinate with Marketing and PR departments to ensure scheduling is on track and all promotional needs for the breadth of ZOS products are accounted for. Coordinate and produce multiple live streaming webcasts promoting ZOS products. Maintain AAA quality bar for all projects.

 

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with ZOS Art and Creative directors on artistic direction and style guides for all products.
  • Artworking and layout of packaging, manuals, advertising, point of sale, web banners and mailers, mainly as Marketing tasks.
  • Plan, Storyboard, Capture, and in other ways produce social videos for online products. This responsibility will include actual video production work in addition to supervising other editors.

  • Work with 1st party keeping updated with all current templates, and approvals, managing and tracking changes.

ZeniMax Online Studios is looking for an experienced Art Outsourcing Manager to manage an external team of creature and character modelers. The role involves critiquing and managing work while providing benchmark examples for the external team to follow. He/she will also coordinate with internal artists that will rig, skin, export, and troubleshoot these assets as they come in from our external team.  The ideal candidate is an experienced character modeler with management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Review deliverables for quality and accuracy and provide feedback as required
  • Create benchmark examples based off of the Art Director’s feedback and direction
  • Revise and adjust models and textures as needed in an effort to achieve the best quality possible
  • Maintain a production schedule and manage multiple deliveries from different artists on a daily basis
  • Coordinate daily with our internal artists, tech artists, animators and leads in order to process and export character assets into the game
  • Test and troubleshoot deliverables to ensure they work correctly in the game engine

We are seeking a skilled Technical Animator to help further develop our animation pipeline. The focus of this position will be on runtime animation integration and animation handling in the pipeline.

 

You will work with animators to develop blend graphs that produce smooth, AAA quality animation, seamlessly combining animated motion with various runtime input sources. You’ll help define animation related workflows and systems, and you’ll assist animators in all technical aspects of animation production. Working with multiple disciplines to identify effective solutions, you will serve as a communicator with the goal of ensuring all involved parties have a common understanding of the system and our shared goals.

 

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience writing animation authoring tools (in Max, Maya, etc.), though this is not the primary area of coverage. If you have experience programming in any form, this is a huge plus. If you have experience with MOCAP that is also beneficial.
