Overview

The Web and eCommerce Product Owner is an experienced, hands‐on web development manager and web strategist who will oversee the development of our web properties including Elder Scrolls Online. They must have a strong background in the design, development, deployment, project management, and operation of scalable, high‐performance eCommerce websites.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the user experience of the ESO websites including user acquisition, site navigation, content development, checkout funnel, and promotional campaigns
  • Develop and oversee the effective planning, QA, and execution of content across the websites and online marketing campaigns
  • Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of all web content publishing
  • Evaluate gaps in existing use-cases, identify a plan to address those gaps, and execute against that vision
  • Build consensus with Development, Marketing, Brand, and Art teams to ensure quality deliverables that meet the business needs

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Technical Management experience with substantial focus on developing compelling, conversion-friendly eCommerce experiences – including B2C, eCommerce transactions, and A/B platform testing
  • Demonstrated understanding of Web strategy, including: conversion optimization, content strategy, user experience, search, and analytics
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical solutions to a technical and non-technical audience
  • Ability to understand business goals and translate them into web projects
  • Knowledge of web marketing strategies and how/when to use them to achieve business goals
  • Demonstrated strong business judgment and decision-making skills; ability to identify, prioritize, and articulate highest impact initiatives
  • Knowledge of current best practices in web design, information architecture, usability, and accessibility
  • Strong familiarity with agile methodology and experience as a Product Owner and/or Scrum Master

  • Google Analytics, Google Optimize, and Akamai mPulse
  • Experience in managing MMO/game studio web strategies and/or deep familiarity with MMO genre as a player

Overview

We are seeking a Social Media Community Manager to join the Community team at ZeniMax Online Studios. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations, growth, and success of the official global Elder Scrolls Online social media channels and their communities. Primary duties include creating and executing on social media content strategies and tactics, engaging with, and building rapport with players on the official ESO social media channels, measuring and reporting on the performance of social content and channel growth, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with the Community and Marketing teams to develop and execute social media strategies and tactics for The Elder Scrolls Online
  • Engage with ESO players through social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Reddit, driving conversation with the ESO team and between players
  • Maintain a consistent presence on all official ESO social media spaces and promote a welcoming, inclusive environment
  • Work in collaboration with the Development, Marketing, PR, Quality Assurance, and Customer Support teams to ensure a positive player experience on the official ESO social media channels
  • Act as a key representative within the gaming community for The Elder Scrolls Online
  • Analyze social media efforts to help grow audience and retention and drive engagement
  • Assists with the company's involvement in trade shows, exhibitions, and other events
  • Create and distribute detailed reporting on social media KPIs and community sentiment, including community reactions, sentiment, and feedback
  • Contribute to product improvement and innovation efforts by advocating for player suggestions, feedback, and needs
  • Analyze learnings and opportunities and develop improvement plans based on metrics, research, and business goals
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of community management and social media tools, best practices, and industry trends
  • Assist with other Community team tasks and opportunities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of professional community and/or social media management experience in the gaming industry or similar entertainment industries
  • Strong understanding of and adaptability to popular social media trends, social networking tools, trends, and best practices, online gaming trends, and industry leaders
  • Proven history of developing and maintaining communities on social media platforms for a business
  • Knowledgeable about latest technologies and techniques used in building and maintaining successful gaming communities on social media platforms
  • Strong drive to pursue ongoing innovation and improvement for community and social media practices and tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong understanding of appropriate tone and voice for social media platforms
  • Strong time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with privileged information, work well with others and handle a high-pressure environment
  • Passion for The Elder Scrolls Online and other games from Bethesda Softworks
  • Strong understanding of competitive landscape of games and their social media presence
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Demonstrated initiative and positive spirit in a rapidly changing environment
  • Willing to travel for events, meetings, conventions, etc.

Preferred Skills

  • Public speaking and live broadcast/stream experience
  • Experience working in a technical background such as development or production

Overview

We are seeking a Web Content Editor to join the team at ZeniMax Online Studios. The Web Content Editor will work as part of the Content Team in partnership with the Community, Game, PR, and Brand teams to support The Elder Scrolls Online's web content needs. Responsibilities will include the planning, crafting, and publishing of articles, web pages, and online messaging, reporting on the success of web content, strategic planning, and providing copyediting and proofreading services. 

Responsibilities

  • Contribute the day-to-day web content work in ZeniMax Online Studio’s CMS, including the creation, maintenance, and publication of web content
  • Craft engaging, effective, and accurate copy to support the needs of the Community, Game, PR, Brand, and other publishing teams
  • Provide proofreading and copy-editing services for Community, Game, PR, Brand, and other publishing teams, ensuring adherence to style and brand guidelines
  • Work closely with Community, Game, PR, Brand, and other publishing teams to create content plans and set strategy
  • Report on web content performance, define key metrics, and prepare, build, and execute on test plans
  • Work closely with the Web Team to plan and build improvements to the CMS and front-end sites

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or applicable field, or 2+ years of experience as a professional copy/content editor
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, with experience crafting public-facing communications
  • Good editorial background and proofreading skills, with experience in implementing style guides
  • Ability to identify content needs and goals necessary to support an evolving live-service product and customer base
  • Experience working with and publishing from a Content Management System (CMS)
  • Experience defining KPIs for web content, analyzing and reporting on them
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, including experience working with localization and tech teams
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment
  • Basic understanding of HTML

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of The Elder Scrolls brand and The Elder Scrolls Online product specifically
  • Knowledge of the video games industry and audience
  • Experience crafting community, brand, and/or PR content for a video game product or brand
